Obama: Mastering GOP Talking Points

Watching an Obama rep. on CNN and also reading some of their stuff in the last couple days.

Boy, they sure have mastered the Republicans talking points.

Let's review, shall we.

-You can't trust Hillary
-The Clintons are liars
-Hillary is un-popular
-Hillary is too polarizing
-Hillary is calculating

These are Obama's personal attacks on Hillary and they have been vicious.  They also happen to be the exact same crap that the Republicans have been spewing for decades.  God fordbid you stand and fight for something.  It might make some people not like you.  And that disqualifies you apparently from office.

No, no.  It's better to just talk about change and hope and unity.  And allow the media to fawn all over you, while talking about that awful woman Hillary.

THE BIGGEST CROCK IS THIS THOUGH.  And in my mind, it removes Obama as a voting choice for me.  It's his attacks on Hillary for daring to provide universal health care.

Obama launches these big attacks on her health care plan because horror of horrors, it mandates that everyone have health care coverage.  OH MY GOD!  SHE WANTS WHAT?  EVERYONE TO HAVE HEALTH CARE?  That evil woman.  It's just not fair says Obama.

"They" are going to garnish your hard-earned wages says Obama.  Whoever "THEY" are?!  BE CAREFUL..."THEY" will come when you aren't looking.
It's straight out the Republican playbook.

WATCH OUT!  They're coming after your money.  AHHHHHHHH...OH NOOOOOOO......IT'S......IT'S.......IT'S. .....THE GOVERNMENT.  THEY'VE COME TO "FORCE" YOU TO HAVE HEALTH CARE.
IT'S DOWNRIGHT SOCIALIST.  RUN!!!!!!!!

And then there is Obama's campaign ad.  Cue nice-looking, middle-class, white, suburban family.  They're at the kitchen table looking depressed.  AND ACTION!

Jane Doe:  What's wrong, hunny?

John Doe:  I can't believe it.  It's our paycheques.  They're...they're stealing our money.  Here look at this huge deduction.

Jane Doe:  What?  That can't be.  We work so hard...and this is AMERICA!

John Doe:  I know, sweetie.  But, it's that Hillary Clinton WOMAN.  She taking OUR money for some health care system.

Jane Doe:  Oh, John.  But...but...how are we going to pay for little Susie's dance lessons.

John Doe:  I don't know, cupcake, I just don't know.

Hmmmm....sound familiar?

2 Tier Health Care? Yes We Can!

Re: Obama: Mastering GOP Talking Points (none / 0)

See, this is the reason Hillary's greatest supporter base is among the uneducated. Let me break it down for you and I'll try to use small words.

Hillary is the one who is screaming from the rooftops that Obama leaves 15 million without healthcare.

Obama correctly states he leaves no one without.

Here is the big difference. You see everyone agrees, including Obama, that if we were creating a healthcare plan from scratch, it would be a all encompassing government plan.

But he also knows with people deeply entrenched in the current one, there needs to be a bridge of some sort.

I think his plan is brilliant and has a lot of forethought, (something Hillary's is seriously lacking)

Unlike the kinds of plans that Hillary is trying to cram down our throats (1993 anyone?) The Obama plan allows the current system to die on its own.

Die on its own you say? Yes. Think about it. Obama's plan says if you have health insurance through your employer, you can keep it. If you don't the government has a low cost plan for you.

Considering Healthcare is the biggest cost for our American companies right now, and how those companies are actually moving over-seas to get away from that huge cost, the Obama plan lets companies drop their healtcare coverage, since their employees can always go on the government plan.

Now watch it snowball. As employers drop their plans, more and more people join the governments. This has the added effect of strengthening our American companies, increasing jobs and allowing people to create new businesses.

This will effectively force the insurance companies out of business. It is brilliant because the people have CHOSEN IT. It is brilliant because the insurance companies cannot complain that the government pushed them out of business, because it will be the people who did it.

That is why Hillary appears to be so good in debates. Anybody can throw out a 30 sound byte. Obama knows our complex problems need complex solutions. They cannot be solved in 30 second sound bytes.

---------------------------------------- -------------

The arrogance is what turns me off right away.  I am a college graduate- a lesbian- and have lived all over our country working in the poorest of neighborhoods and communities.  Now, I do make less than 75,000.00 a year.  I don't drink wine- and most of the fundraisers I organize the donors give less than 100.00.  Average citizens looking to have their voice carried into Washington.  Hillary is capable of finding common ground for the common good.  Obama as he has proven in the past will give it away the first chance he gets- not his fault- he just needs more experience at negotiating.  Take for example Exelon.

C'mon. Like HRC and BJC telling Kerry to throw gay people under the bus in 2004? Or fighting to make the criminal justice system and immigration system less fair rather than more? Triangulation used to be a bad word around here.

Yep- I just found an interesting video from 2001.  Obama again appears to love the republicans...and the people they pick to lead...you know, like Donald Rumsfeld...

Which side of the aisle uses the "soft on crime" talking point? And the "weak on national security" talking point?

Actually all of these things are true. Is the truth a talking point?

Unless you care to defend HRC or BJC on any of those points I'm not sure why you posted this. Are you a next-gen Obamabat using some sort of psychological trick?

Clearly Bill lies. We all know that. Reports show that she pushed BJC to tell Kerry to throw the gays under the bus so he could get elected so she's clearly calculating and some folks can't trust her. She doesn't want the CJS system to be fair. So at  least some folks can't trust her. She doesn't want the immigration system to be fair. So at least some folks can't trust her.

She has 47% negatives so she's clearly unpopular and polarizing.

it mandates that everyone have health care (none / 0)

insurance you mean. On your dime. In addition to your taxes. Or else. That would be a better way to put it.
